• synchrone oder asynchrone Datenübertragung

• Datenlänge 1 Byte = 8 Bits

• Jedes Telegramm beinhaltet ein Start-Bit (logischer Wert 0) und ein Stopp-Bit (logischer Wert 1)

• Telegramm besteht aus einem Start-Bit + 8 Datenbits + optionales Parity-Bit + ein Stoppbit
