Development goals of an intelligent crutch

This project aims to develop, build and test a prototype to investigate the prove of concept of an intelligent crutch. The development should include the following features and design goals:

- construct / equip one pair of crutches with weight measuring sensors
- wirelessly combine data between both crutches
- recognize walking with crutches and calculate load on affected limb
- signal overload on affected limb to patient
- store collected data and provide report to medical personnel via web application

To verify adequate functionality and check the feasability of intelligent crutches, the project includes several tests. These tests should include field testing with medical personnel as well as patients.
