4.8 Mechanical

This part is mainly about the first part of the project, where we used a fishing line for rope. This system will have to be adapted for the CableCopter, with a heavier reel and cable, and the addition of the slip ring.

The modelling of the mechanical system was done in CREO. The different parts of which it is composed are :
- The stepper motor
- The shaft
- The bearing
- The two plastic parts to support the bearing and the motor
- The freerun
- The reel
- The coupler

Here we used another cover between reel and motor holder to prevent rope twisting around shaft
